The 5 Skincare Products I Can’t Live Without on Vacation

Vacation is a time of relaxation, peace and most of all, overpacking. I’ve been lucky enough to spend the past couple of weeks in Florida with my family for the holidays (bless up for one last chunk of break courtesy of grad school). I drove down from Louisiana, so I was able to take a bit more with me than I ever would have if I had flown - hence, total overpacking.

As the lazy days have kicked in and bare minimum routines have hit, I’ve narrowed down my makeup bag to my vacation skincare essentials for y’all.

  1. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

It took me a long time to commit to this product because I wasn’t sure I believed all the hype. Months later, I finally pulled the trigger and this will absolutely be a product I replace when I run out. I love using this during long travel days to lock in moisture on my face or as an overnight mask. It has a refreshing mint smell that isn’t too strong and it’s thick enough to create a great barrier against recycled travel air while still absorbing relatively quickly into the skin.

  2. Supergoop Glow Stick Sunscreen SPF 50

I can’t say enough good things about this brand, every product truly is so good and their formulas each contain a hefty amount of SPF. This stick is the easiest on-the-go swipe for a natural looking glow that also protects from sun damage, making it perfect for long car rides. I love how it’s a makeup-skincare hybrid and looks so natural on the high points of your face.

  3. Red Earth Beauty Hydrate Refreshing Cleanser with Tasmanian Sea Kelp

I’m someone who - regrettably - is so bad about washing their face. However every time I use this formula it makes me feel like I’m in a straight up spa and I obsess over it. It smells so amazing, has the creamiest gentle texture, and is super hydrating. They also gave me the code XOAlexisNewkirk so y’all can get 20% off your first purchase!

  4. Caudalie Grape Water

Growing up in hot, humid climates, I live for a good face mist. This is hands-down my favorite one I’ve ever used. Caudalie makes beautiful formulas and this sprays so well and feels like a tall drink of water for my skin. I spray it on whenever I feel like I need a little extra boost.

  5. Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster

While I’m new to the Paula’s Choice line, this product immediately blew my mind. This highly concentrated vitamin C oil is great for morning and night and soaks in so well for the perfect lit-from-within glow.
